Days in Singapore...

This trip to Singapore have four main purposes: A = Attending my daughter wedding; B = Visiting my Singapore relatives; C = Sight Seeing; D = Of course Shopping la!!

|Day One|Actually I am very curious about the local food. Because nearly everyone that from Penang that work in Singapore, describe how horrible is the local food. That night we went to a shopping center called VIVO CITY to explore the food court call FoodRepublic.

The unique design of this food court really catch my eyes, so are the stalls that selling different types of local hawker food.

FRIED HOKKIEN MEE (炒福建面): This is the 1st time I tried. Taste a little like our Penang Indian Mee Goreng. Sour, Sweet & Salty. The leaf that they use to contain the noodles creates a very unique aromas.

JAWA NASI AYAM (something like that): The fried chicken are so tendered. The black color sauce is the prawn sauce that we use to mix up with Asam Laksa. But I was being told by the hawker to mix up with the sambal Chili. Very spicy indeed, but taste very delicious.

YOONG TOU FU : A hakka delight for sure. Nothing much different with Penang YOONG TOU FU, except far much expensive.

MINCE MEAT NOODLE (肉醩面) : A very common local dishes. Very much a like Wan Tan Mee, except they are using a lots of mince pork, some finely cut pig liver, and flavored with some extra black rice vinegar. yum yum!!

|DAY TWO|
Woke up around 10:30a.m.. Decided to take a bus to the food court near my brother's apartment neighborhood. And below are the food that we took for our brunch.HAINAN CHICKEN RICE : Really very much different with Penang style of Hainan Chicken Rice. It's more dry, as it don't come with watery soy sauce. But definitely have it own uniqueness and tastiness. *~thumbs up~*

BRAISED DUCK RICE (滷鴨飯) : served with yam rice, and bean curt. And since yam rice is my favorite rice, so it's definitely can be rated as a tasty dishes.

FIVE SPICES (五香) : deep fried food that you picked. Something like Penang Loh Bak, except they only come with chili sauce.

~Wedding Day~

After having my brunch, we'd took a cab to Apple's wedding. It's a very simple wedding ceremony that held in her new house. Not much guest, but it's truly a very warm wedding.

|DAY THREE|
Last day of the trip in Singapore. Today not much of food exploring, simply enjoying the times catching up with my uncles and his family. Met my uncle 1st time 2 years back, while me and my dad on our way back from China, we'd spend a night in Singapore. His hospitality really shocked me off. Since then, the bond within is getting very much closer then before. It's definitely a gladness to have such a good family relation.FROM LEFT: Uncle Chun, Me, My Great Aunt, My Aunt and My Cousin.
FROM LEFT: Me, Cindy, My Great Aunt, My Aunt, My Cousin and Uncle Chun.

Our bus depart from Singapore at 9:30p.m.. Reach Penang around 6a.m. the next day. (Thanks to Alan that purposely come to pick us up so early morning.)

WORK YOUR LOVE; LOVE YOUR WORK

I believe most of peoples out there would choose "WORK YOUR LOVE" as their priority. So do I... However, seems like the fact shows that not many people having the chances to reach that part. So do I... So folks, cherish the chances when you got one...

To "LOVE YOUR WORK" in the other hands, it involved lots of elements. It's not easy to be categorized in this section though... You need more courage to do so; You need more patience to do so; And you definitely need to put in more efforts to do so... So folks, if you are working very hard to love your jobs, love your works.. Keep it up, hold your chest up and be proud of yourself.

At the end of the day... no one is perfect anyway..

Adios....

Another stage in life....

Lately felt so much pressures... So many weddings needed to be attend... It keeps reminding me: "Oi oi oi!! It is time to move on to second stage of your life d...."

Well, I am trying my best though.... I am trying.... :)

The Launching Events <8th Of November 2008>

Current time is 13:30 (9th of Nov 2008). Still struggling from the exhaustion and sun burned. All of the worries has finally not in my mind anymore.

Actually my worries are full with dilemma: I worried it will rain. As rain will spoil nearly everything of our efforts of setting up for this events. I worried the sun will be too shine. as when the weather is too hot, it will cooked out all my balloons deco.

6:25a.m. - Day starting to shine. I look at the sky on top of my head. I still able to see few stars blinking, which definitely a good beginning.
7:30a.m. - It's the final round to make sure everything is on the line.
8:00a.m. - Every involved party has arrived.
8:30a.m. - I chaired a short briefing to run through all the programs.
9:00a.m. - The show finally begin.

Being honest, I have to apologized to the VIPs. I apologized because I didn't insist of setup a tent for the VIPs while the CHEC person in-charge reject my suggestion. End up the sun too shine, the VIPs got their laps "roasted". Solly solly....

Finally, I have to stress out many thanks to everybody that involved in this events. Es specially Ah Tiong ko and his crew, they really truely didn't sleep whole night to rush up all the settings; Ah Hong that help me up to setup the balloons leaf for the trees; Ivan and his lovely models, the being so professional on escorting the VIPs through out the whole events (although the way they walk still felt like running Fashion Show. Hahaha..); Joie and his friend - the photographer, that always being pushed by other over aggressive press photographer. And many others that I didn't write out. WITHOUT YOU ALL.... THERE SURELY WON'T BE SUCH A SUCCESS EVENT.

MAYBE NOBODY WILL KNOW WHO WE ARE AND WHAT HAD WE DID. BUT I HOPE THAT YOU ALL WILL BE PROUD OF YOURSELF OF INVOLVED IN THIS OPENING CEREMONY. IT'S DEFINITELY A GREAT MEMORIES FOR SURE.

PENANG ISLAND, an extremely tiny island that barely hard to be seen from the world map. Sometimes if the world map is too small, you might need microscope to look for it kok tim...

YES, it have lots of resorts by the sea, but we don't have breath taking clean sandy beach and sea like others diving spot(most of the times yet still got lots of cute jelly fish floating around kok thim..).

YES, the hawker food still very tasty, but not cheap anymore. Why? simple, nation economy crisis, they increase; petrol price raise, they increase; flour pricing raise, they increase; Tourism Season coming, they increase; Chinese New Year coming, they increase. So you tell me, how to be not expensive.?

YES, our GEORGETOWN has now been called The World Historical Protected City (Something like that la). But if you compare with MELAKA, the preservation job are far many steps behind then MELAKA. After holding 3 days of celebration, what else the government did to make up for this honor? Lately there was one our nation celebrity (Origin From Penang State) that stayed in China for few years saying that he willing promoting Penang to the world by electing him as our Tourism EmbasSHITor with the budget of 60 millions ringgit. DAMN, I think he must be forgotten to bring along his brain with him. (siao eh... if state government got RM60 Million budget, I find Andy Lau better la...)

YES, we have more than few hundred years of history bow along with us. But just simply add on a different language of road sign at the bottom of the official road sign, the BUMMY people already start protesting.. OI OI OI... we just add on our mother language so that can remind our children about the history of our old road name when they grow up only ma. What so big deal? Beside, you know how to read our writing meh? Can't you just take it as a decoration meh? Independent for more than 50 years d, still so naive minded. PEACE LA~!! When we wanna lepak, we also go to mamak store to eat and drink what... But did we said it's not fair that why only we go to mamak eat, and you didn't come to our sioh bak chicken rice stall to eat meh?

Be more considerative la... Brother~!!! MALAYSIA BOLEH~!! PENANG BOLEH~!!

Back in action.... Don't Push, don't push!!

Recently, my younger brother mumbled to me: "Oi, dai low ah... Hor sim lu la... update your blog la..."

Well, I had to admit that I am still trying very hard to catch up with this trendy blogy things... Oh ya, FYI that until few minutes ago, I still don't really know why blog being called blog. I mean, why BLOG? Why not other words, like why not Webary? (combination of Web + Diary), it sounds more sense to me if it being call webary... After I search through the net just now, then only I know: Blog = Web + Log...OOooOo.. like that hior... But I still think webary sounds better, sounds more cool, don't you think so??

During my younger days, I used to write a lot. All the thoughts, ideas, (Just like a blog should be). But it was a tiny old hard cover book called DIARY..(Speaking of diary, I am wondering where I had accidentally accommodated it d. Hahaha...(Thats me though, big head with tiny brain, and the remaining spaces inside my head filled with grasses)

I did flipped through few blogs, and then I noticed that it can be thousands of way to be a blog. Example, my younger brother blog (http://stupidenterprise.blogspot.com). His blog always full with colorful pictures he tooked to emphasize more on his passage elaboration; My elder sister (http://doris-surf.blogspot.com) in the other hand, she always like to post pictures too, but she's always active with interactions like dropping comments, etc. So this blog can be summarize with one simple conclusion:"Do it your own way, don't care who's better or more organized. JUST DO IT!!"

Yeah babe~!!
